Job Description

In this role, you will provide support to patients with palliative or end-of-life care needs.
Following assessments carried out by Senior Therapists, you will deliver ongoing interventions tailored to each patients individual care plan and specific requirements.
Your primary aim will be to help patients maintain or improve their independence and overall quality of life.
Main duties of the job
As a member of the multidisciplinary team, working toward providing holistic, person centred, end of life care, including the delivery of physiotherapy and occupational therapy plans of care and treatment based on individual needs.
The Therapy Assistant will support members of the Allied Health Professional team by delivering delegated activities and treatment.

We are recruiting for 2 Therapy Assistant to join our Allied Health Professional Team based at our Outstanding CQC rated Hospice in Bradford
Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, aligned with AFC BAND 3 24,937 to 26,589 per annum pro rata
Contract: 1 x Permanent and 1 x 2 year Fixed Term
Hours: Full Time - 37.5 hours per week and Part Time - 30 hours per week
Based: Marie Curie Bradford Hospice
Closing date: 9th November 2025
An excellent opportunity has arisen for 2 Therapy Assistant to join the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy team at Bradford Hospice. In this role, you will support patients with palliative or end-of-life care needs.
After Senior Therapists complete their assessments, you will deliver ongoing interventions tailored to each patients written care plan and individual needs. Your main objective will be to help patients preserve or enhance their independence and overall quality of life.
The successful candidate will also collaborate closely with all service providers involved in each patients care.
What we are looking for:

  • Formal technical qualification e.g. BTEC or NVQ3 in health care related subject
  • Previous experience in a Therapy Assistant role or experience of working with people in a caring and supportive role
  • Experience of working in Palliative and End of life care, frailty or long term conditions would be an advantage.
  • Awareness of clinical governance frameworks and personal responsibilities within it
  • Driving license and access to own vehicle is essential
