Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and wish to gain hands-on experience in a nurturing environment. As an Apprentice, you will work closely with experienced practitioners to support the development and care of children in our nursery setting.

Duties

Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote children's learning and development. Support the daily care routines of children, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and hygiene. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional development. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive nursery environment. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving nursery practices. Maintain a clean and organised nursery space, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use. Observe and record children's progress, sharing insights with senior staff as required.

Qualifications

A genuine interest in working with children and a commitment to their development. Previous experience in childcare or nursery settings is advantageous but not essential. Knowledge of early childhood education principles is preferred. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to demonstrate management and leadership qualities when working with peers. A valid driving licence is desirable for potential travel between locations or activities. A willingness to learn and develop professionally within the childcare sector.
