This is a great opportunity to train alongside an experienced and well-qualified "outstanding" team, working with fantastic children!

You will be joining the nursery to complete your apprenticeship for a period of 12-15 months, where you will be studying for a work-based qualification whilst you are with us and the nursery will support you with the experience required to achieve this.

Ideally we are looking for someone who has already completed a Level 2 in childcare and is ready to go on and complete a Level 3.

You will be required to work on average

30 hours per week. This may possibly increase to 40 hours for the right candidate.

You will be training within the nursery and be supported by staff and an outside assessor/tutor.

Nursery is open for

50 weeks a year from 7.30-6

, so flexibility is required to work between these times. However, there may be the possibility of reduced hours outside term-time. Please note, your shifts and hours may change on a weekly basis.

Duties & Responsibilities:

To support nursery practitioners and work as part of the nursery team To provide high quality childcare and education To assist in the planning and implementation of activities for the children in the area you are working in To work alongside staff ensuring a safe environment for all children, staff and visitors to the setting To be flexible and help where needed To work to the policies and procedures of the setting, support the safeguarding procedures & maintain confidentiality at all times

Skills required:

Reliable, honest, attention to detail Confident, clear telephone manner High levels of initiative, attitude and enthusiasm Able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative Grades A-C in English and Maths or equivalent
