We're looking for a driven and proactive Apprenticeship Business Development Manager to join The E3 Group, supporting our mission to connect employers with high-quality training and apprenticeship opportunities across England. This is a key role focused on driving employer engagement and growing our apprenticeship partnerships with colleges and training providers.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, approach and onboard employers to take on apprentices in key sectors (e.g. construction, trades, engineering).
Promote the benefits of apprenticeships to employers, handling objections and providing funding/funding rules guidance.
Work closely with colleges and training providers to match employer demand with apprenticeship provision (e.g. Electrician, Bricklayer).
Manage employer relationships from initial interest through to apprenticeship start and beyond.
Complete and manage employer registration/vacancy forms and Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) guidance.
Meet monthly targets for employer sign-ups and apprenticeship starts.
Maintain accurate records of engagement and pipeline using CRM tools.
Provide feedback to internal teams and help improve our employer engagement strategies.
Required
Experience in business development for a minimum of 2 years.
Good understanding of apprenticeship funding, levy/non-levy rules and employer incentives.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Target-driven with a proactive and consultative sales approach.
Ability to work independently and as part of a growing team.
Knowledge of CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce) an advantage.
Take full ownership of diary management (e.g. schedule meetings, travel)
Must hold a full, clean UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
Must be prepared to travel nationally for meetings, events, or site visits on occasion.
Due to the nature of this role, applicants must pass an Enhanced DBS check prior to employment.
Desirable
Experience in employer engagement, apprenticeship recruitment or FE/Skills sector sales.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines reliably.
Demonstrates persistence and is able to bounce back from setbacks and adapt quickly to change.
Able to take initiative independently, while also contributing effectively as a team member.
