This role supports the Business Development Team within the Employer Services Department, focusing on apprentice recruitment and selection. You'll oversee candidate assessment and selection, ensuring applicants are matched appropriately to vacancies. Working closely with administrators and Business Development Executives, you'll manage applications, coordinate interviews, and ensure a smooth experience for both candidates and employers. As the team is largely field-based, you'll need to work independently and communicate effectively via phone and email.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the application process for apprenticeship vacancies.
Coordinate information, interview, and assessment sessions.
Arrange interviews on behalf of employers and confirm applicant attendance.
Promote apprenticeship vacancies internally and externally.
Monitor candidate pool and support vacancy matching.
Maintain accurate candidate database records.
Proactively source candidates via social media and other channels.
Signpost unsuccessful applicants to support or guidance.
Essential Experience:
Minimum Level 3 qualification (A Level, Diploma or equivalent).
Level 2 or above in literacy, numeracy, and IT (or willingness to gain).
Experience supporting individuals into employment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent organisational and administrative abilities.
Flexible approach to working hours.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficient in word processing, databases, and spreadsheets.
Willingness to learn new IT systems.
Experience engaging with the public.
Experience delivering workshops/presentations to 16-24-year-olds.
Desirable Experience:
Knowledge and experience of apprenticeships.
IAG qualification.
Experience promoting education in schools.
Understanding of employer training and skills needs.
