We are an innovative, responsive Facilities Management company based in Horsham, with a large presence in the West Sussex area, looking to add to our team with a new Area Management position.
Maintaining strong client relationships is at the forefront of what we do, and we are offering the opportunity for a driven, experienced Area Manager to look after the day-to-day Management of client sites within the cleaning division.
Summary of Main Responsibilities
1. To ensure effective communication, reporting and performance appraisal is provided within contracts and to the Operations Director.
2. To initiate, maintain and develop the quality of service provided to the customer.
3. Directly responsible for ensuring all positions are covered in the event of absence.
4. Complete wage timesheets to submit to payroll team.
5. You are able to report on all KPI's and conduct audits and risk assessments to ensure all Health & Safety requirements and legislation are adhered
6. To operate the given contracts with sufficient staffing, attendance levels, and incidental cover as required. To be actively involved in the recruitment process.
7. To ensure yourself and subordinates (cleaning and supervisory staff) receive the appropriate training necessary for development and effective function of duties.
8. To contribute to the growth of the company by identifying and engaging in new contract sales, and organic growth of existing contracts.
9. To always ensure adherence to the Health & Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
10. To ensure smooth and speedy mobilisation of the new contract or expansion of existing contract.
11. To ensure the integrity and adherence to security systems relating to premises, people and data/information.
12. To ensure the integrity and adherence to Financial Management and budgets relating to labour, equipment and materials and other costs.
Area of work
Primarily Horsham and surrounding Counties of West Sussex, East Sussex & Surrey
Cover in other areas may be required.
Working hours and conditions
40 Hours per week to achieve the objectives of the position.
Generally, 8 Hours per day with variable times of working depending on business requirements (including some late nights and early mornings)
Extra hours may be required.
A blend of Office based working and traveling to different sites and locations.
In the event of absence where other suitable arrangements cannot be made, or vacancies have not been filled, an element of hands-on cleaning will be required.
Inclusion on an 'out of hours' duty rota is required up to a maximum of every 1 in 3 weekends.
You will often be working alone, driving to sites. For that reason, a valid driving licence will be essential.
Training and development
You will receive induction, supervision, and further training.
Your training may include courses and qualifications from the British Institute of Cleaning Science and other trade associations.
You will engage in an ongoing training activities for continuing professional development (CPD).
