Art Gallery Sales Assistant

Images in Frames is a Contemporary Gallery and Bespoke Framers based in East London. We have two branches in Walthamstow and Wanstead. Our Walthamstow gallery showcases some of the best upcoming and established artists. Currently we are looking for an experienced Sales Consultant with a keen interest in Art . Weekend work is a requirement.

Images in Frames has a strong track record of team workmanship. You will be part of a small, brilliant team whose relaxed and friendly nature ensures our customers are happy and become part of the 'family'. It is imperative that you become a team player and be willing to help where it is needed.

Complete training in all aspects of framing will be given. Having knowledge of framing is desired but not necessary. It is expected that you will sell several paintings a week and create your own leads. In, addition, you will receive a commission, after your probation period has ended, if the monthly target is achieved.

The is a multifaceted position whereby you will also be expected to maintain the website, update our social media accounts, arrange logistics, update our stock system, and maintain the gallery appearance amongst other duties.

About You

Must have brilliant customer service

Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office, Social Media, WordPress and highly knowledgeable on the latest Adobe.

The ability to sell artwork to high profile clients

Proven track record and strong understanding of the sales process and sales techniques.

Two years proven sales experience.

Selling artwork in person as well as over the phone and email.

Quick to learn about our artists

You must be willing to undertake framing orders.

Ability to handle artwork carefully, install artwork onto our walls as well as pack and manage each artwork properly.

Knowledge of gallery hanging systems.

A high standard of written and spoken English is imperative.

You must be organised and willing to support your colleagues.

Confident and clean professional appearance.

Please note this role entails moderate physical duties on a daily basis. Candidates

must be able to accommodate such tasks.
