We are seeking an Art Technician to join our team at Epsom and Ewell High School, part of Bourne Education Trust.




The Art Technician's is responsible for providing dedicated and practical assistance in delivering the art curriculum, ensuring the smooth running of lessons and practical activities under the guidance of Teachers and Senior Leaders. Supporting pupils in developing their creative skills and confidence, maintaining a well organised and inspiring workspace, and ensuring all materials and equipment are prepared, maintained, and used safely. Promoting the ethos and values of the school and Bourne Education Trust by fostering an inclusive and engaging environment where all pupils can fully participate in and benefit from a rich and diverse art education.

Key responsibilities include:




Provide technical support for the art curriculum, including the preparation of materials, setting up equipment, and ensuring resources are maintained Work closely with staff to support and enhance the delivery of the art curriculum Prepare and organise materials, tools, and equipment for art lessons Assist in the demonstration of art techniques, equipment, and processes

Requirements include:




Essential




Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent appropriate qualification) Ability to evidence effective continuous professional development

Desirable




Relevant experience of working with children in an education setting
