Job Description

We are looking for a

hands-on Team Leader

to join our dynamic production team in Hastings. In this role, you will lead a group of assembly operators, ensuring high-quality standards, efficient workflows, and a positive team culture. You'll play a key part in driving performance, supporting development, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Do

Lead & Supervise:

Manage day-to-day activities of your team, ensuring work is completed on time and to the highest standards.

Plan & Organize:

Collaborate with other section leaders to create daily and weekly plans that meet business objectives.

Drive Performance:

Monitor KPIs, communicate targets, and implement solutions when goals are not met.

Develop People:

Conduct regular one-to-ones, annual appraisals, and identify training needs to support growth.

Ensure Quality & Safety:

Uphold company procedures, health & safety regulations, and participate in quality investigations when needed.

Continuous Improvement:

Support TEOA/Kaizen activities, maintain 5S standards, and recommend process improvements.

Collaborate:

Liaise with other departments, including maintenance, to resolve issues and keep production running smoothly.

Act as Deputy:

Step in for the Production Supervisor when required.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in

team leadership

within a manufacturing or assembly environment. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to motivate and develop a team. Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement is a plus. Commitment to safety, quality, and company values.
