Upon joining our state-of-the-art production facility in Ampthill and with the support of engineering groups, you will be tasked with performing precise and methodical completion of a range of test procedures on high value hardware.



You will ensure the safe use of all hand tools, jigs / fixtures and measuring equipment.

Required skills, qualifications and experience




Assembly and integration of components to create new products. Working in a trials and development environment. Working to defined systems of work, specifications and work instructions. Hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting with adaptable core skill sets. Independently performs non-routine and moderately complex assignments. Experienced with quality inspection points and process documentation. Attention to detail and ability to self-inspect work to ensure quality defects are mitigated. Competent and safe use of all hand and air tools. Use of Jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools on precision assemblies. Problem solver with a positive attitude. Working with support from engineering group a methodical and precise approach to ensure successful completion of production tasks on high value hardware. Complete understanding of "clean as you go"/6S/FOD/Tool control Either recognised apprenticeship in mechanical assembly or equivalent through work experience gained on the job. A very high level of health and safety awareness. Must be able to take direction well and is a strong team player. Excellent listening and communication skills. Excellent organisational skills and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

Competent in vacuum bagging techniques. Use of ovens and Autoclaves. Working with metallic/non-metallic materials. Working with and preparation of mould tools advantageous. Competent and experienced in the use of chemicals, glues and resins. Competently uses computers and other systems to access, maintain, manipulate data.
