Job Summary
As Assembly Technician, you will be part of a team that is responsible for assembling engineered parts and testing fire suppression technology.
Your job role will be to assemble engineered parts and test fire suppression systems. Your day-to-day will be assembling pumps, nozzles, manifolds and other engineered parts. All assembled parts will require self-testing to be routinely carried out by the Assembly Technician. Other duties will include: stock taking, receiving deliveries and preparing orders for delivery, checking the iCO online sales portal (WooCommerce), organising work tasks to ensure healthy stock reserves are kept, keeping the premises in a tidy state and other various tasks that the business requires within reason.
Responsibilities/Job Duties
Must be able to build and test all nozzles and pumps.
Able to build low pressure modifications and zone valves.
Able to build sprinkler monitoring panels.
To carry out thorough testing of all assembled parts.
Perform final QC review of products prior to shipment.
Test and troubleshoot equipment before installation.
Confidence and knowledge of ISO criteria.
Adapt to a safe work environment by utilising proper PPE (safety glasses, masks, gloves, etc).
Stock checking.
Receiving stock deliveries and preparing sales orders for despatch.
Booking and despatching goods in the absence of Team Leader, Warehouse Supervisor or Operations Production Manager.
Organising work tasks to ensure healthy stock reserves are kept.
Keeping the premises in a tidy state.
Follow the ISO 9001 guidelines and internal policies.
Follow Health & Safety standards.
Follow fire risk management.
Participate in all ongoing training on new iCO products and demonstrate a thorough understanding of how to build and assemble them.
Other various tasks and anything else that the business requires within reason.
Skills and attributes
A skillful person for the construction of smaller components that form units required to complete a whole mechanical or electrical system.
Eye for detail and ability to inspect, correct, maintain, fix and build simple or complex items which will be joined with other assemblies to form more complete systems.
Interest in assembling, mechanical & electrical systems.
Experienced with hand tools.
IT literate.
Fluent in English.
Quick learner and open to accept a multitude of tasks.
A team player with a positive attitude.
Willingness to develop and progress within the company.
Punctual and honest.
Qualifications and experience
Proven experience in assembly or related field.
Technical degree or certification in a related field is a bonus.
Ability to read and interpret assembling manuals and specifications.
Familiarity with safety procedures and guidelines.
Good eye-hand co-ordination to construct small parts and pieces into a final product.
The ability to use various hand tools to produce a final product.
To GCSE or Diploma level or equivalent of least 2 years' experience in assembly, production and manufacturing.

Salary:
27,300.00 pa reviewed annually. 14.00 per hour based on 37.5 hours per week.
Probation period:
6 months.
Hours of work:
8am-4pm Monday to Friday inclusive of half an hour for lunch.
