Assembly Technician

IQHQ are looking for an electronics production and test engineer to work in their high-tech business. The role is a hands-on role based at the Malvern Hills Science Park, and will involve:
- Assemble products ( radio communication systems) according to specifications and instructions
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete assembly tasks

-Operating 3D printing machinery

-Fault finding electronic circuits

-Rework and repair of PCBs

-Building electronic test systems

- Fault finding electronic circuits

-Selecting electronic parts

-Maintaining a parts inventory

-Assisting in electronic and mechanical design

- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues as they arise

-Attending customer field trials and operating test equipment

Candidates

must

be eligible for UK Security Clearance, this is a mandatory requirement of the position. Clearances will be obtained by IQHQ on behalf of the employee. Knowledge of radio engineering is a benefit but is not mandatory. The candidate will benefit from hands-on training at IQHQ. The company works to tight deadlines in high technology areas while running a friendly and supportive atmosphere.

Requirements:

- Previous experience in assembly or a related field preferred
- Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Salary: 25k to 28k depending on experience ( Please note, experience will have to be demonstrated during the second interview with a practical test) Full time: 37.5 hours a week Location: Malvern Hills Science Park WR14 3PS Annual leave: 25 days
