You and Your Team:
Reporting to our Deputy Company Secretary, You'll play a key role in supporting Board and Committee operations, overseeing statutory and regulatory requirements for our legal entities, and driving improvements in governance processes. This is a brilliant opportunity to take ownership of high-impact work in a collaborative and purpose-driven environment.
As an Assistant Company Secretariat, you will:
Acting as Secretary for several Board and Committee meetings - taking full ownership of planning, coordinating, attending and minuting.
Supporting our governance framework by maintaining key Group registers and overseeing the management of subsidiary legal entities.
Leading the filing and reporting responsibilities for our subsidiaries, including annual accounts, GEMS updates and statutory submissions.
Providing governance insight and legal entity expertise into major Group initiatives, including restructuring projects.
Supporting the administration of our employee and discretionary share schemes and answering colleague queries.
Taking part in high-profile annual cycles, including our AGM, Annual Report and Insurance renewal.
What We're Looking For:
experience in a Company Secretariat or equivalent corporate governance role.
A solid working knowledge of Companies Act 2006 and regulatory obligations - ideally within a financial services or FCA-regulated environment.
A qualification (or working towards) in Company Secretarial practice (e.g., CGI).
Sharp attention to detail, discretion with sensitive information, and the ability to distil complexity for senior audiences.
Confidence to build relationships, influence internal stakeholders, and manage multiple deadlines under pressure.
A proactive mindset - always looking for ways to improve how we operate and deliver.
