Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Football Coach to join our coaching team. The successful candidate will assist in developing players' skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive sporting environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about football and have a desire to educate young athletes in both the technical and tactical aspects of the game.

Duties

Assist the Head Coach in planning and executing training sessions that focus on skill development, fitness, and teamwork. Educate players on game strategies, rules, and techniques to enhance their understanding of football. Provide constructive feedback to players during practices and matches to encourage improvement. Help organise team events, including matches, tournaments, and community outreach activities. Monitor player progress and maintain records of performance to support individual development plans. Foster a positive team culture that emphasises respect, discipline, and sportsmanship among players. Collaborate with other coaching staff to ensure a cohesive approach to player development and team strategy.

Experience

Previous experience in sports coaching, particularly in football, is desirable but not essential. A strong understanding of football tactics and techniques is required. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes. A commitment to continuous personal development in coaching practices is preferred. Relevant coaching qualifications or certifications would be an advantage but are not mandatory.

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 12.60 per hour
