Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our turf maintenance team at our club where the focus is turf quality and ball reaction, allowing traditional and strategic golf to be played.

Working within a dedicated team, this position requires an experienced multi skilled, hands on turf professional with excellent management and organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail and quality control.

Key responsibilities:

All aspects of green-keeping including irrigation and project work. Mainly Monday - Friday with the a weekend rota.
Desirable Candidate:

Minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in sports turf management. PA1, PA2, PA6 spraying certification. Will be an experienced and qualified CS30 & CS31 chainsaw operator. Hold a First Aider at Work' qualification. Thorough knowledge of all associated Health and Safety legislation. Experience and understanding of sand modified push-up greens. Management of an automatic irrigation, service, diagnose faults, repair and correct usage of water. An appreciation of how course management techniques will affect the game of golf. A good mechanical knowledge, understanding and use of a wide range of turf machinery. Have a flexible approach to working hours, including a weekend rota. An interest in construction, drainage installation and re-modelling. An interest / ability in golf
