The role of Assistant Manager in the Cash & Carry is a varied one, predominantly taking responsibility for the day to day management and planning of the shift operation, whilst ensuring that Company standards and targets are met. It will include the following areas of responsibility: -Stock control - You will be responsible for ensuring that stock levels in the Cash & Carry are sufficient, organising stock transfers and replenishments from the Cross Hands depot to address fluctuations in stock, and completing detailed analysis of stock administration reports to allow the management team to make decisions around storage strategy. Part of the stock control responsibility will also include conducting stock counts, fulfilling stock rotation checks in accordance with established procedures and assisting the buying team by highlighting slow-moving or short-dated stock. You will also be required to investigate missing stock, producing a full explanation of discrepancies, produce management reports in relation to stock adjustments and implement measures to reduce cost of damages to stock.People Management - You will be responsible for organising staff and allocating resources to various areas of the Cash & Carry according to shift patterns, workload fluctuations and annual leave. This will also include managing staff training requirements and schedules. You will also ensure that our team members meet company performance standards, particularly in customer service, and that our policies and procedures are adhered to.Security - You will be required to manage the security and maintenance of all company property, stock and machinery, covering callouts on a rota with the management team. It will be your responsibility to ensure that the Health and Safety standards, cleanliness, organisation and presentability of the store is maintained to the highest standard.What we offer:38,808.32 per annum 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
