As the Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the homes. You will work alongside a dedicated team of Senior and Residential Care Workers, supporting children and young people who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and trauma. You would predominately be working office hours, however, would need to have the ability to complete on shift working as and when required to support the needs of the homes.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership Support: Assist the Registered Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the children's residential home.
Team Development: Support and develop the team of Residential Care Workers, ensuring they have the necessary training, guidance, and resources to deliver high-quality care.
Trauma-Informed Practices: Promote and embed trauma-informed care practices to support the young people in our care.
Building Rapport: Establish and maintain strong, trusting relationships with children and young people, providing emotional support and guidance.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure that care practices align with Ofsted standards and legal requirements, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for all residents.
Professional Development: Actively engage in continuous personal and professional development, in partnership with the senior management team.
Skills & Experience
We are looking for individuals who demonstrate the following:
Experience:
Working as a Deputy or Assistant Manager in a children's residential setting would be essential.
Qualifications:
Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Workforce (Essential).
Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or a willingness to work towards it).
Proven Track Record:
Demonstrated success in leading a team in a regulated environment, with experience of achieving positive outcomes with Ofsted inspections.
Licence/Certification:
Driving Licence (essential)
Personal Attributes:
Natural empathy, resilience, and flexibility.
Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to connect with children and young people who have experienced trauma. Ability to work well in a team and support others in their professional development.
