Assistant Practice Manager

Sale, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

About us

DCO Dental is a growing group of three friendly, collaborative dental practices in South Manchester. With a team of around 60 staff, we're proud of our reputation for high standards, kindness, and doing things properly--both for our patients and for our people.

We provide a wide range of services across our group, including oral surgery via our referral centre, implants, IV and inhalation sedation, NHS dental services, urgent care, and foundation training. Our private general and restorative dentistry offering is growing rapidly. We also run oral surgery courses for postgraduate students and are beginning to offer restorative training for local dentists.

As DCO expands, so do the opportunities. This role is opening due to the relocation of our current Assistant Manager, and we're looking for someone who sees this as a career step, not just a job. The position will evolve over time, and we hope the right person will grow with us.

We're looking for someone flexible, eager to learn, and willing to invest in themselves. Someone who is people-smart, humble, and driven to do things well. We'll support your development and give you the space to shape your role and your future.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll take a lead in day-to-day operations across all three of our sites, ensuring we remain compliant, efficient, and a great place to work and be treated.

The role is a key step for someone looking to progress their career in dental practice management. It goes beyond administrative support--we're looking for someone who can grow into a leadership role, complementing the strengths of our current manager and, in time, helping to develop the business side of our growing organisation.

Handle patient queries and complaints with professionalism and empathy--resolving issues and safeguarding the patient experience

Promote a positive, respectful, and high-performing workplace culture

Contribute to management meetings, audits, and the development of business plans and KPIs
