We are recruiting for an
Assistant Pub Manager
to join the team at the Village Inn pub, Thurlestone Hotel & Spa.
Live in accommodation is available
in our fully refurbished staff accommodation just a 10 minutes' walk from the hotel.
The Village Inn is a part of the wider Thurlestone Estate, serving real ales, great gastro pub food and good cheer to everyone from new guests to old locals. The Village Inn is connected to the luxury, family-owned, 4-star 65-bedroom hotel situated on the spectacular South Devon coast. The hotel also houses the 2 AA Rosette Trevilder Restaurant, Voyage Spa, 9-hole golf course, as well as a range of sports facilities including tennis and a seasonal kids club.

About the role
As the
Assistant Pub Manager
you will be supporting the Village Inn Manager in the running of the whole operation. Leading the team from the front with a hands-on-approach will be vital to ensuring the satisfaction of both guests and staff is exceeded at all times and that revenues are maximised and costs controlled. You will thrive working in a high-volume venue and have a passion for all things food and drink. You will need to be able to demonstrate previous experience working in a similar role and be looking for somewhere to develop and take the next step in your career.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the front of house team in setting up the pub for service, developing SOPs as required.
Manage the daily business through a hands-on-approach with the team.
Training and development of the team to maximise revenue and guest satisfaction.
Ensuring compliance with all health & safety policies.
Stock control and ordering.
