To provide support to the sales team in promoting and selling assistant products and services. The Junior Sales Assistant will assist with customer enquiries, quotes, and orders, while developing knowledge of joinery products and processes to progress into a more senior sales role.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the sales team with enquiries from builders, contractors, architects, and homeowners.
Prepare and issue quotations, sales proposals, and order confirmations.
Maintain accurate customer records and update the CRM system.
Support with pricing jobs by liaising with the workshop/estimating team.
Follow up on quotations to convert into sales.
Assist customers visiting the showroom or office, providing product information and samples.
Handle inbound calls, emails, and walk-in enquiries.
Provide after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Develop product knowledge in timber types, finishes, doors, windows, staircases, and bespoke joinery solutions.
Liaise with production and delivery teams to ensure orders are fulfilled on time.
Skills & Qualifications
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Good organisational ability and attention to detail.
Confidence in working with numbers (pricing/quotations).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); CRM knowledge is an advantage.
Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
Interest in learning about joinery, woodworking, and construction.
Preferred Experience
Previous experience in sales support, construction, or joinery (advantageous but not essential).
Background in customer-facing roles.
