The opportunity \xe2\x80\x93 Organisational Effectiveness - London with some travel

Project: This role will work across multiple clients / markets. This role will require travelling and on occasions staying away from home.

Duties:

The role will be:

  • Accountable for the risk management performance on their assigned commission(s).
  • Work with a wide variety of client executives and leadership teams to design and lead effective maturity assessments that provide recommendations on how clients can best develop their organisations in order to meet their business need and objectives
  • Works as the deputy lead for the Organisational Effectiveness practice, supporting in the development of the work pipeline and direct line management of colleagues working within the practice as required
  • Developing and delivering training material and mentoring on best practice regarding maturity assessments and broader consulting skills.
  • Whilst based in London the role will require short term travel (typically 1-2 weeks) to client locations either in the UK or Internationally depending on client demand and business needs
  • Communicate clearly, concisely, and confidently to senior client teams, providing actionable insights and recommendations. Leveraging personal own passions, strengths, and experience to add value
  • Actively works with client and Mace leaders to convert the recommendations of maturity assessments into wider business opportunities for Mace services and long term partnerships
  • Where necessary, lead on the implementation of maturity assessment recommendations to change and transform client organisations
  • Build lasting relationships with senior client leads, acting as a trusted advisor proactively supporting and constructively challenging to develop robust strategies and operational plans. Leverage these relationships to develop new business opportunities for Mace.
  • Supports the bidding process, ensuring the Organisational Effectiveness and wider Organisational Development methodologies and service offer is embedded in to bids and mobilisation plans
  • Creates and prepares pre-mobilisation and mobilisation plans for the projects/programmes as required, in advance of contract award
  • As a senior member of the team, act as representative for the practice - communicating and advising on the Organisational Effectiveness service offer. Actively participate in the development of the Organisational Effectiveness practice and wider Organisational Development practice bringing new services online as required
  • Proven consulting experience working with senior clients to deliver solutions and value to organisations
  • Developed facilitation/presentation skill
  • Significant problem-solving capability particularly regarding systems-thinking
  • Ability to manage activities with significant uncertainty of solution or outcome
  • Experience of operating in large and complex programmes/organisations
  • Fundamental understanding of best practice programme management and controls
  • Experience in managing resourcing, growing & developing a team;
  • Experience of supporting senior management in deal negotiations, contract development, due diligence & other business development or alliance development projects;
  • High level of political and cultural acuity
  • Capable of creating visions, setting strategy and develop operational planning
  • Persuading and influencing clients and colleagues
  • Developing internal and external networks
  • Identifying and analysing business risks
  • Building and leading a high performing team
  • Creating and delivering persuasive and engaging presentations to wide range of audiences in our industry
  • Spotting, developing and coaching talented individuals
  • Identifying business opportunities and winning work
Qualifications

About you

Degree or equivalent with professional work experience in one or more specific disciplines in the Programme, Project or Commercial Management disciplines

You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams. You have experience of working on large projects/programmes. You will have a construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace have to offer.
