As we continue to grow our UK and Irish event portfolio, we are now hiring a UK based Exhibition Sales Executive to focus on selling exhibition space for our UK shows, with additional responsibility for selected Irish events.
The Role
As a UK Exhibition Sales Executive, you will be responsible for generating new business and growing exhibitor revenue across our event portfolio. This is a target driven, high activity, phone based sales role for someone who enjoys outbound calling, building relationships and closing deals.
You will work remotely from the UK, with a laptop and phone provided, daily check ins with management at our Dublin office, and weekly virtual sales meetings with the Dublin based sales team. You will be expected to meet agreed daily and weekly call targets, and to deliver against clear sales and revenue goals for your events.
Key responsibilities include:
Prospecting and lead generation
Researching and identifying target companies and key decision makers in relevant sectors
Maintaining and growing a personal pipeline of prospects for UK and Irish events
Making a high number of outbound calls every day to new and existing prospects
Confidently introducing events, qualifying interest and moving conversations towards closing exhibition space
Account management and relationship building
Managing and growing a portfolio of exhibitors, encouraging repeat and multi show bookings where possible
Engaging with clients by phone and email to understand their objectives and position the right exhibition opportunities
Sales performance and reporting
Working to clear daily and weekly activity targets, including calls, conversations, proposals and closes
Keeping the CRM fully updated with accurate notes, pipeline status and next actions
Collaboration with the Dublin team
Joining daily check ins and weekly virtual sales meetings
Sharing feedback from the market on pricing, messaging and exhibitor needs
There will also be opportunities to attend events in the UK and Ireland to support & connect with the rest of the team, increase lead generation, make re-bookings and nurture client relationships.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a sales focused, target driven and resilient professional who is comfortable working remotely and enjoys proactive outbound calling. You should be a self starter who can manage your own time and activity levels while delivering results.
Essential:
Proven B2B sales experience, ideally in phone based or inside sales
A strong track record of cold calling and daily high volume outbound activity
Demonstrable success in meeting and exceeding call and sales targets
Fluent or native level English, spoken and written, our sales process is nuanced and requires clear, precise communication with both clients and the internal team
Confident, professional communication skills, especially over the phone
High level of organisation and the ability to manage your own pipeline and follow ups
Confidence using CRM systems and standard IT tools such as email, spreadsheets and online meeting platforms
Self motivation and discipline, with the ability to work independently from home while staying closely aligned with the Dublin team
Desirable:
Experience selling exhibition space, sponsorship or advertising such as magazines, digital media or events
Knowledge of sectors such as manufacturing, supply chain, construction, pharma or medtech
Experience with CRM platforms such as Pipedrive and HubSpot, or similar sales tools
