Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Baby Room Practitioner to join our team. This role is essential for providing high-quality care and early childhood education to infants and toddlers in our nursery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for childcare, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a safe and stimulating environment for young children.

Responsibilities

Provide attentive and compassionate care to babies, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Develop and implement engaging activities that promote early learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and any concerns. Work with other practitioners to maintain a stimulating and caring nursery environment. Manage daily routines, including feeding, changing, and nap times, while ensuring hygiene standards are met. Observe and assess children's development, documenting milestones and achievements accurately. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional growth through play and interaction.

Experience

Previous experience in childcare or working with children is essential, preferably within a nursery setting. A qualification in Early Childhood Education level 2 or 3 is required. Strong leadership qualities to guide less experienced staff members when necessary. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. A genuine drive to support children's learning journeys while managing the dynamics of a busy nursery environment.
