We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Baby Room Practitioner to join our nurturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with infants and toddlers. This role involves creating a safe, stimulating, and caring environment for children while promoting their development through engaging activities. The Baby Room Practitioner will play a vital role in supporting the overall well-being of the children in our care.
Duties
Provide high-quality care and supervision for infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and physical development.
Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a cohesive team environment that supports the nursery's goals.
Ensure that the nursery environment is clean, safe, and organised, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development and stay updated on best practices in childcare.
Requirements
Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting.
A qualification in early childhood education or equivalent is preferred.
Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff members effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
A genuine passion for childcare with the ability to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for children.
Driving licence is advantageous for potential transport needs related to outings or activities.
