Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Room Manager to oversee the daily operations within our baby room. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a background in early childhood education or childcare. This role involves creating a nurturing environment for children while ensuring that all activities align with our educational standards and policies.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a room of childcare professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care and education for all babies and children. Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that cater to the developmental needs of children. Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children, adhering to health and safety regulations. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff through effective communication and collaboration. Monitor children's progress and development, providing feedback to parents. Organise daily activities, ensuring that they are age-appropriate and promote learning through play. Manage administrative tasks related to the room, including attendance records and reporting any concerns regarding children's welfare.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a leadership role within a childcare setting is essential. A full and relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare is essential. 2 years post qualifying experience working with babies / children in a nursery or similar environment is essential. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required for effective interaction with children, parents, and staff. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment. A genuine passion for working with children and fostering their development is essential.
