Agenda Screening Services Limited is the UK's longest-established independent background screening organisation. We conduct background checks for over 400 businesses across a range of sectors, including motorsport, government, aviation, and financial services.
We are looking for individuals with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, who have a solid work ethic and can work collaboratively as part of a diverse team, supporting both our customers and candidate network.
Working as part of a supportive team, the successful applicant(s) will be responsible for conducting background screening checks on candidates before they begin employment with some of the UK's--and the world's--leading brands. Tasks may include referencing, ID verification, and processing criminal record checks.
Applicants with experience in customer service or a call centre environment are highly desirable, as are those with prior experience in background screening. Additional language skills are also an advantage.
Basic Requirements:
Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with both candidates and clients independently.
High attention to detail, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to follow processes accurately and consistently.
Excellent written and verbal English skills, with confidence communicating by phone and in writing.
Strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage and prioritise workload.
Team player who can also use their own initiative.
Able to take direction from leadership and work towards shared goals and targets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Checking and validating documents.
Conducting financial and criminal record checks.
Verifying employment history and processing references.
Researching details online or via third parties.
Handling inbound and outbound calls with candidates, clients, and referees.
Accurately maintaining records within internal systems.
Following instructions from supervisors and managers to complete tasks to a high standard.
Ensuring compliance with company policies, client requirements, and relevant legal and regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO, BPSS, BS7858, DBS).
Maintaining strict confidentiality of all information handled.
