Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and production of a variety of baked goods, ensuring high standards of quality and food safety. Duties

Assist in the preparation of ingredients for baking, including measuring, mixing, and portioning. Support the baking process by operating ovens and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Help with decorating and packaging baked goods for display or sale in the coffee shop and vending machines. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production and delivery of products. Follow recipes accurately to produce consistent quality baked items. Participate in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies when necessary.

Skills

Experience in food production or food preparation is essential. Previous kitchen or culinary experience, particularly in baking, is highly desirable. Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure hygiene standards are met. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. A passion for cooking and an eagerness to learn new techniques in baking and food preparation.
