Keptie Bakery - We are a small multi award winning family bakery with 3 shops throughout Angus. Our head office and bakehouse is based in Letham and our other shops can be found in Arbroath and Brechin.

We also supply many local cafes, bistros, newsagents and even castles throughout Angus. We buy quality ingredients and use traditional methods. We are massive supporters of shopping local and practice what we preach, we buy local where we can. Angus has so much to offer with many great local suppliers.

We care about our staff and our community and run a charity waste scheme. Keptie Bakery is a family run business where our staff matter and are not simply just a number.

We are recruiting for multiple positions within our bakery team working from our head office in Letham, Angus.

We have the following position available:-

*Bakery Assistant

- 25hrs per week 7am- 12pm Mon - Fri

Wages dependant on relevant experience.

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. This role is hands-on and involves assisting with the preparation and assembly of our bakery products, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and supporting the bakers in all areas of the bakery.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing and making pie dough and pie shells. Making the dough for pastry shapes and cutting out pastry shapes on the pastry machine. Preparing our buttery fat and softie concentrate for baking. Making up all pie fillings and ensuring consistency and quality. Filling and lidding pies, ready for baking or sale. General cleaning of work areas, equipment, and dishes. Assisting the bakery team with any other duties required to support smooth operations. Following hygiene, safety, and quality standards at all times.

Requirements:

An interest in bakery work and a willingness to learn. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Good attention to detail and commitment to quality. Team-oriented attitude and good communication skills. Physical stamina for standing, lifting, and manual tasks.

Pay: 12.21-16.99 per hour

Expected hours: 7.55 - 12.21 per week
