We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our family-owned Cafe & Bakery as Assistant Baker. This role is essential in ensuring the quality and safety of food prepared for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen.

Duties

Prepare and bake a variety of items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in the baking process, ensuring that all baked goods meet quality specifications. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during busy service periods. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to management. Ensure all food production equipment is cleaned and maintained properly. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.

Experience

Previous experience in food production or preparation is essential. Culinary experience, including cooking and baking, is highly desirable. Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is required. Experience working in a restaurant or similar kitchen environment will be advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. A passion for food and a desire to create exceptional dining experiences for customers.
