Responsibilities
Oversee daily food production activities, ensuring timely and efficient preparation of dishes in line with organisational standards.
Supervise kitchen staff and service teams, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a collaborative working environment.
Manage food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to recipes, portion control, and presentation standards.
Coordinate with suppliers and manage stock levels to ensure the availability of ingredients and kitchen supplies.
Maintain strict compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all areas of operation.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating innovative ideas while maintaining consistency in quality.
Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to ensure smooth workflow and high customer satisfaction.
Lead by example in delivering excellent hospitality service, including serving customers when required.
Requirements
Proven supervising experience within a food production or hospitality environment.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively under pressure.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations applicable within the UK hospitality sector.
Previous experience working in restaurants or catering establishments is highly desirable.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and suppliers.
