The Bakery Shop Assistants key responsibilities are:

To offer excellent customer service.

To merchandise products neatly and re-stock when low.

. To prepare hot and cold beverages and barista coffee

To work hygienically and always try to clean when quiet from serving.

To follow instructions from the line Managers.

All Bakery Shop Assistants are expected to:

Take part in any training offered by the company.

Hold a current Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene or acquire one within 3 months of start date.

Merchandise shelves and counters. Assist in stock rotation and stock taking. Use cash registers in accordance with rules and regulations. Be courteous and polite to customers and other members of staff. Refer any complaints to your manager. Prepare food in the correct manner using the manuals provided taking care with portion control. Take an active part in working as a team and helping others for the good of the store. Learn about and understand the products you sell and actively promote all products and promotional lines. Participate in all aspects of cleaning for efficient and hygienic running of the store. Follow the Rules of Hygiene and be aware of your personal safety and the safety of others. Always be of neat and tidy appearance and wear the full uniform provided along with black trouser or skirt.

In Addition:

All employees must be flexible and be prepared to assist others in doing alternative work at times, although this will always be avoided where possible.
