Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Banquet Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations within the hospitality sector. As a Banquet Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests through high-quality food production and presentation.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes for banquets and events, ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards. Assist in the planning and execution of menus, collaborating with the culinary team to create innovative dishes. Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring a clean and organised kitchen environment. Supervise kitchen staff during service periods, providing guidance and support as needed. Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked. Participate in the training of new kitchen staff, sharing knowledge of culinary techniques and best practices. Assist with the setup and breakdown of banquet events, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or hospitality environment. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent culinary skills with the ability to produce high-quality dishes under pressure. Experience in supervising kitchen staff is preferred but not essential. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required. Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends as needed for events. A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
