Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes for banquets and special events, adhering to recipes and presentation standards. Supervise kitchen staff during food preparation and cooking processes to ensure efficiency and quality. Manage food production schedules to meet the demands of upcoming events. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes. Assist in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary. Ensure that all dishes are served at the correct temperature and presented attractively.

Skills

Proven experience in food production within a professional kitchen environment. Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Excellent culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hospitality. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable. Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
