We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar & Bistro Manager to oversee our bar & food operations and ensure a high standard of service within our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food production, and a commitment to food safety. As the Bar & Bistro Manager, you will be responsible for supervising staff, managing inventory, and creating an inviting atmosphere for our patrons. Your culinary knowledge and ability to manage a team effectively will be crucial in delivering exceptional customer experiences. Experienced in Bar and Front of House Management is essential.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily bar & restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
Supervise and train staff, fostering a positive team environment through effective leadership and communication.
Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and controlling costs to maximise profitability.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative drink menus that complement our food offerings.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring satisfaction with service provided.
Implement promotional activities to enhance bar sales and attract new customers.
Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback to support their professional development.
Experience
Proven experience in a bar & front of house management or supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
Strong understanding of food production processes and food safety standards.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while promoting a collaborative work environment.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
Knowledge of culinary practices is advantageous, particularly in relation to pairing drinks with food offerings.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence.
