Weekend working is an essential part of this job. Management training within the Hospitality and Catering sector would be advantageous. Experience at supervisory level is essential. Extensive Experience within a Busy Restaurant / Hotel environment. Knowledge of use of computer, email, Microsoft XL and Word. Experience using point of sales cash register and card payment terminals Hold Personal License (although course can be provided) Knowledge of Cellar management, Draught Beers, Spirits and Cocktails

THE ROLE



As Assistant Restaurant and Bar Manager you will be responsible for management of All Front of House Staff, Enquiries and Bookings, Customer Orders, Liaising with Chef, Bar Stock Control and ensuring guest satisfaction. Your responsibilities would include:

Assisting the owners and other Assistant Manager with the running of the bar and restaurant. As the Licencee you will be responsible for all Staff Bar training. Assist with Planning and managing staff weekly rotas and holidays. Daily ongoing Bar/ Restaurant cleaning. Carry out weekly inventory checks within the bar and assist with stock deliveries Leading, Co-ordinating and directing employees to ensure the efficient delivery of excellent customer service with in the restaurant and bar area ensuring all customer orders are accurately delivered. Maximising sales, profits and customer satisfaction by identifying best sellers and poor selling drinks and food. Ensure all drinks supplies are identified for on a timely basis. Manage stock rotation and monitor sell by dates. Be involved with Bar/Restaurant promotions via Social media. Ensure administration of restaurant bookings and cash control are consistently correct and communicated effectively. Assist with daily email customer enquires and closely liaise with suppliers. Assist Chef with and preparation of customer desserts Manage Daily Kitchen Cleaning activities

THE PERSON



Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to lead the team in the absence of the Owners. You will be focused, have the initiative and determination to take the restaurant and bar forward, ensuring that the highest level of customer care is delivered.

You will be a good communicator, able to work under pressure, honest, confident, friendly and approachable with a "nothings to much trouble" attitude. The successful applicant will lead by example and provide a consistent high level of service.

We operate a Cafe upstairs with excellent food and have Meeting Room for private functions.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.00-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week

Schedule:

Monday to Friday Weekend availability
Work Location: In person
