We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee our bar operations, ensuring exceptional service and a vibrant atmosphere. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and culinary arts, with a passion for food and beverage management. This role requires effective leadership skills to manage a team, maintain high standards of food safety, and deliver an outstanding guest experience. The role will be heavily commission based with weekly sales targets to hit.
We are looking for someone 4-5 times a week depending on hours. Main days, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
Friday/Saturday 1.30am closing time.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily bar operations, ensuring smooth service and adherence to quality standards.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and controlling stock levels to minimise waste.
Implement and uphold food safety regulations to ensure compliance with health standards.
Develop creative drink menus and collaborate with the kitchen on food production for events.
Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and team management.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in line with hospitality standards.
Engage in local community events
Prepare & host for festive events
Skills
Proven supervisory experience in a bar or restaurant setting.
Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation and cooking methods.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
Previous experience in hospitality or hotel environments is advantageous.
Barista experience is a plus, enhancing our beverage offerings.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
