Overview


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic

Bar Manager

to oversee the daily operations of our bar and restaurant establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive knowledge of food and beverage service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and maintain high standards of food safety and service quality. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing staff, supervising food and drink preparation, and ensuring the smooth running of all bar activities.

Responsibilities



Lead and supervise the bar team, including bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff to deliver outstanding service. Oversee food preparation and ensure all culinary standards are met, including cooking and food production processes. Manage daily operations of the bar, including stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness standards in accordance with food safety regulations. Ensure compliance with licensing laws and health & safety regulations across all areas of operation. Develop menus in collaboration with chefs, incorporating innovative drinks and food offerings to enhance customer satisfaction. Train staff on serving techniques, cocktail mixing, food presentation, and customer service excellence. Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction. Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to optimise revenue streams. Organise staff rotas, manage labour costs, and motivate team members to achieve operational goals.

Qualifications



Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management with a focus on bar operations. Strong supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities. Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices. Experience in supervising food safety standards and ensuring compliance with health regulations. Familiarity with restaurant management software and POS systems. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Exceptional communication skills with a friendly yet professional demeanour. Previous experience in hospitality roles such as serving or barista work is advantageous but not essential. A recognised qualification in hospitality management or culinary arts is preferred but not mandatory.
