HAUS really is a venue people fall in love with, we are looking for a new bar manager to help drive us to the next level, bringing new ideas, and produce a consistent level of customer service.

- Job Role -

This job is a 40 hour contracted role, HAUS has a closing time of 1am on weekends so any candidate must be prepared to work to a late finish on some occasions. This role is a hands on approach working the majority of your hours leading from the front on the bar or running the restaurant. As the Bar Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the operations that lead to the success of the bar. Your duties will include organising staff rotas, being onsite to oversee customer satisfaction, quality of food, drinks and venue atmosphere, as well as stock control.

Responsibilities:

? Support directors in all aspects including: recruiting, training, schedules, staff complaints and disciplinary procedures

? Be present and onsite to oversee staff teams and ensure the ongoing quality of service, atmosphere, drinks and food is adhered to and delivered

? Ensure that the front-of-house is fully staffed, particularly during peak times, and oversee shift schedules, making any necessary changes per business, need and budget

? Recruiting, training and motivating staff, assess staff performance and strategise for improving staff performance

? Meeting sales and profitability targets, working with the peaks of the season to best increase revenue

? Monitoring inventory of beverages to ensure adequate stock, and placing orders for inventory based on business needs and budgets

? Overseeing the cleanliness of staff and the physical bar area and paying attention to possible health hazards and regulation violations, ensuring all legal requirements are adhered to

? Ensure menus remain up-to-date and correct, working with the Head Chef to develop and maintain an exciting, innovative menu

? Work with the kitchen team to ensure high quality output and stock control across the kitchen

? Actively participate as a member of the management team in decision making processes, attending required meetings, etc.

? Dealing with customer feedback and providing adequate solutions to customer complaints

? Work with our in-house social media manager in creating content and supporting the venues social media channels

? Oversee events- liaise with directors to plan and execute events according to customer needs

Requirements:

? Practical bar skills, including pouring drinks and cellar management

? Excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage staff

? Knowledge of alcohol and service laws and the confidence to enforce them

? Understanding of stock management, drinks development and production

? Strong organisational and communication skills

? A genuine passion for customer service and the hospitality industry

? Customer service skills and the ability to act on customer feedback

? Two years experience Bar Manager experience preferred, previous management

experience necessary

The ideal person will have at least a year's experience in a similar position and will have the ability to deliver great service to our guests. We are looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality, that is reliable and willing to learn as part of a growing team.

Pay: From 14.50 per hour
