Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring smooth service during all shifts.
Supervise and motivate bar staff, providing training and guidance to uphold service standards.
Oversee food preparation and ensure quality control in line with health and safety regulations.
Coordinate with kitchen staff to facilitate food production, including cooking and presentation.
Maintain stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory efficiently.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and legal licensing requirements.
Develop innovative drink menus, incorporating current trends in hospitality and mixology.
Handle customer enquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and foster a welcoming atmosphere.
Monitor financial performance, including sales targets and cost control measures.
Organise staff rotas, optimise labour costs, and ensure adequate coverage during busy periods.
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably as a Bar Manager or similar role.
Strong team management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff effectively.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices.
Experience in food safety management and adherence to health regulations.
Familiarity with food production processes within a hospitality environment.
Previous restaurant or hotel experience is highly desirable; barista experience is advantageous.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
