Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic bar person to join our vibrant team. As a bar person, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional guest services within our restaurant. You will be responsible for ensuring that guests receive a memorable dining experience through attentive service, knowledge of our menu offerings, and a commitment to food safety and preparation standards.

Duties

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, ensuring they feel valued from the moment they arrive. Take accurate food and beverage orders while providing recommendations and upselling menu items as appropriate. Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring that all dishes are presented beautifully and meet our culinary standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests. Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to strict food safety guidelines. Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, ensuring satisfaction throughout their dining experience. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any special requests or dietary restrictions from guests. Process payments accurately while maintaining basic maths skills for handling cash transactions.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Strong guest service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Familiarity with food safety practices and culinary knowledge is advantageous. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A passion for hospitality and helping others enjoy their dining experience is essential.
