We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Barista and cake shop supervisor to oversee daily operations within our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for ensuring high-quality food and coffee preparation and safety standards. You will play a crucial role in managing the team, maintaining efficient workflows, and delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily shop operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Train and mentor staff in safety protocols, and customer service best practices. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock. Implement and uphold food safety regulations to ensure compliance with health standards. Assist in scheduling shifts and managing time effectively to optimise team performance. Conduct regular quality checks on food items and ensure adherence to portion control guidelines. Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly, providing assistance as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a food service environment. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Basic maths skills for managing inventory and portion control calculations. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. A willingness to help team members and foster a collaborative work environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with staff and customers effectively.
