We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team at our new store. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced setting and have a love for coffee and food preparation.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Ensure all food safety standards are met during food preparation and service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including equipment and utensils. Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions they may have. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while adhering to basic maths principles. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels of supplies and communicate needs to management. Provide help to colleagues as needed to foster a supportive team environment.

Requirements

Proven experience in a customer service role; previous barista experience is preferred but not essential. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and inventory management. Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable. A keen interest in coffee culture and willingness to learn about different brewing techniques. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
