Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to provide exceptional customer service and maintain a clean, organised workspace will contribute to the overall success of our establishment.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Assist customers in selecting menu items and provide recommendations based on their preferences. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while managing the till. Prepare food items as required, adhering to food preparation guidelines. Monitor inventory levels of supplies and assist with restocking as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Uphold excellent time management skills to ensure timely service delivery.

Qualifications

Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing cash flow. A genuine desire to help customers with a friendly and approachable demeanour. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to maintain hygiene standards. Strong time management skills to effectively handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in food preparation or as a Barista is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided.

Pay: 10.00-13.00 per hour
