Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to manage time effectively and ensure food safety will be essential in delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Assist with food preparation, ensuring that all items are made to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Manage time efficiently during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Operate coffee machines and other equipment safely and effectively, performing routine maintenance as required. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, utilising basic maths skills for processing payments.

Requirements

Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting. Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders accurately. A friendly disposition with excellent communication skills to engage with customers effectively. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

This position is for 16 hours, however there maybe additional hours available to cover holidays or sickness. The store is open between 8am and 4pm with a 4.30 finish. You should be available to work both week days and weekends.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
