Job Summary

We are seeking a Barista/server to join our small catering unit on Grove Business Park. Approximately 15-20 hours a week Mon-Friday. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the serving area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces. Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety guidelines. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and offering assistance when needed. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service. Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales.

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation or as a Barista is preferred but not essential. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and managing orders. Knowledge of food safety practice is highly desirable. A friendly attitude with a willingness to help customers and team members alike. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required. Driver preferred due to location.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 10.00-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
