We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.
Please note that this is initially a lone worker position, but we will consider a job share across the 4 days for the right candidates.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
Ensure adherence to food safety standards and hygiene practices at all times.
Preparation each day of our cookies and brownies.
Maintain cleanliness of the coffee shop area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders accurately and efficiently.
Handle cash transactions and operate the till with basic math skills to process payments.
Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Opening and closing procedures.
Experience
Previous barista experience is essential.
Knowledge of food safety regulations is advantageous.
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is beneficial.
Familiarity with food preparation techniques will be considered an asset.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining quality service.
