The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing safe, engaging, and enriching wraparound care for school-age children. They will lead, support, and develop club managers and teams to deliver high-quality activities that promote play, learning, and wellbeing, while ensuring compliance with all safeguarding and operational standards.
This role requires a confident leader with strong organisational skills, the ability to build positive relationships with schools and parents, and a genuine commitment to creating fun, inclusive environments where children can thrive beyond the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Oversight:
Provide professional leadership and direction to after-school club managers and teams, ensuring consistency and excellence across all nine sites.
Quality & Compliance:
Monitor and maintain high standards of care, play, and safeguarding in line with Ofsted, company policies, and local authority expectations. Conduct regular visits, audits, and supervisions.
Operational Management:
Oversee staffing, rotas, and daily operations, ensuring ratios are maintained, clubs run efficiently, and resources are well managed.
Programme Development:
Support the design and implementation of a varied and engaging activity programme that promotes creativity, teamwork, and personal development.
Safeguarding & Health and Safety:
Act as the designated safeguarding lead for wraparound care, ensuring all staff uphold statutory duties and policies. Maintain safe, clean, and inclusive environments.
Staff Training & Development:
Recruit, induct, and develop staff, supporting training and career progression to strengthen team performance.
School & Parent Relationships:
Build strong partnerships with host schools and parents, ensuring open communication and positive collaboration.
Financial & Administrative Oversight:
Support budgeting, attendance monitoring, and fee collection processes, ensuring accurate records and cost-effective delivery.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify and implement opportunities for growth and improvement, ensuring all clubs deliver consistent, high-quality experiences for children and families.
