We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drilling, tapping, countersinking, deburring, finishing manufactured parts to a high specification and standard. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
Interpret technical drawings and specifications to manufacture and check components are correct.
Carry out maintenance tasks on existing machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Make occasional deliveries, so clean driving licence is needed.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar role within the engineering or manufacturing sector.
Proficiency in reading technical drawings and schematics.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems and assembly techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in engineering or mechanical fitting are desirable but not mandatory.
