We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Bench carpentry and joinery, with experience in fabrication, assembly, and the use of fixed machinery including CNC, various hand and power tools. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, including commercial and domestic environments. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating high-quality wooden structures and components, ensuring precision and durability in all tasks. Responsibilities
Fabricate and assemble bespoke wooden components using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and joinery techniques
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate construction
Install joinery elements in various settings, including commercial buildings and interior fittings
Perform heavy lifting of materials safely to facilitate construction activities
Assist with onsite works also with a team focus
Maintain a clean and organised workspace to uphold safety standards
Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently and to high standards
Conduct quality checks on finished work to ensure compliance with specifications
Be able to use Vetric and create designs on computer for manufacture in workshop.
Qualifications
Proven experience in carpentry, joinery, or related trades such as masonry or roofing
Proficiency in fabrication, assembly, and the use of hand tools and power tools
Knowledge of CNC use is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights if necessary
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Good understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry
Relevant qualifications or certifications in carpentry or joinery are preferred but not essential for experienced candidates
