About Job:
The role is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient preparation of chemical batches by carrying out start-up, mixing, and monitoring processes in accordance with production procedures. This includes operating machinery, handling raw materials, testing water solutions, and maintaining accurate documentation. The position plays a key role in ensuring product quality, stock accuracy, and adherence to health and safety standards during the handling and unloading of chemicals and solvents.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform start-up and mixing operations for all tanks.
Accurately follow batch documentation procedures and ensure full understanding of mixing instructions.
Operate relevant machinery, including mixers, scales, meters, pumps, and forklifts (FLTs).
Monitor raw material usage for each blend, ensuring correct quantities and weights are added.
Return unused raw materials to stock with accurate labelling and container information.
Test water solutions from storage tanks for pH levels and conductivity, ensuring compliance with standards.
Safely and efficiently unload all chemical and bulk solvent deliveries into designated areas.
Complete all required paperwork with accuracy, including batch records and related documentation.
About You:
An ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience, skills, and attributes. Please note that these competencies are not ranked in order of priority. Following criteria will be used in selecting a candidate.
Valid and up-to-date FLT (Forklift Truck) licence.
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Background in chemical handling or blending processes.
Self-motivated, well-organised, with a proactive and positive "can-do" attitude.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
